BackInternet Tax on Phone Lines
Some UK ISP's provide upto 50Mbps, which begins putting the UK back into the race to be one of the leading digital countries in the world. However there are still places in the UK that are not able to get faster than a dial up connection.
The UK government believe in order for the economy to continue its move out of the slump we need to push the online span out to more people, but at what cost?
Digitial britan is set to cost the average consumer an additional £6 per month on thier phone bill in what has been coined "Tax Online" charge. The tax will be contibuted towards subsidising ISP's in installing the new lines they need to so that everyone in the UK will be able to get online at the faster speeds.
