The latest set of events across the financial markets have put companies back in the thinking seat when it comes to their future plans.

 

Most companies 18 months ago were looking at expansion and bringing on more staff. The same companies are still looking at expansion, however are not so hot on the new staff initiative as before.

 

The IT sector for example has seen one of the biggest slumps this week, shown by the recent announcement by Accenture letting 400 jobs go. Looking further afield the Asian markets have seen 20% increases since the start of the year within the same industry. Software and development sales have increase by 18% across the board. So it’s not hard to see how companies are expanding.
